RODEO, bucking broncos. - Cecil ROGERS (Scottish ranch hand).
Booklet titled 'Souvenir Letter / Laramie, Wyo.' Laramie, Wyoming: Wm. H. Isberg, [dated 1911, but printed in 1909 or earlier]. Oblong 12mo (4 1/4 x 6 1/8in; 108 x 155mm). Green paper wrappers containing 8pp. of half-tone photos - captioned scenes from the rodeo, mostly riders on broncos, including 'Guy Holt on "Old Steamboat"'. The upper wrapper with address panel and cancelled stamps, the inside front cover with brief letter, dated 'Oct. 3 1911', the lower cover with two additional cancellation stamps.
Condition: light soiling, discoloration and fraying to edges [see images].
Provenance: Mrs R.M. Rogers (Scotland).
Cecil Rogers, writes home from 'Lookout, Wyoming' to his mother in Scotland. Cecil lived the life of a ranch hand, briefly, before returning to Scotland - he went on to serve in WW1. The booklet features some of the more famous broncos and riders of the time (see images).
