A directory of Colonial Volunteer Corps (ie those outside the British Isles, including those raised in South Africa as well as Australia, New Zealand and India and Ceylon) and their work in the South African campaign. The information is drawn from official despatches other reliable published accounts and private accounts furnished by officers in the field."
The blue cloth-boards are blind-ruled on both faces and the spine is gilt-lettered. The xii + 497 pp of un-illustrated text and index (and one publisher's announcement page). Light occasional foxing on first and last four pages.
