Full leather binding; Collation complete - Frontispiece title page, (2), 93, (44), 751, (1), 93, (46) pages. With a folding map tracing the expedition of Alexander the Great and one engraved plate; Text in Latin; Full leather binding is tight and firm. Spine and boards scuffed, top of the spine and boards corners chipped. Short cracking to the bottom of the back joints (3 cm). Pages/text block very bright and clear, with some yellowing and occasional light foxing. Overall the condition is Very Good.
Quintus Curtius Rufus, was a Roman historian, probably of the 1st century, author of his only known and only surviving work, Historiae Alexandri Magni" ('Histories of Alexander the Great', or more fully 'Historiarum Alexandri Magni Macedonis Libri Qui Supersunt', "All the Books That Survive of the Histories of Alexander the Great of Macedon").
