From the Folio Society's multi-volume history of England, this volume covers the 31 years (could it have been so short!) between the start of the First World War and the end of the Second World War.
Blue paper-board slipcase with gilt and grey title panel to the upper face. Blue cloth-boards with gilt design to the upper panel and gilt and grey lettering to the spine. xxxiv pp of introduction and other prelims + 636 pp of text and index with graphs and maps in the text printed on Balmoral laid paper + inserted colour frontispiece and 24 pp of plates (8 pp in colour) on art paper.
CONDITION. The copy is Fine - complete, unmarked and undiscoloured. The tight-fitting slipcase has left a thin 2-cm-long white rub mark on the lower front edge of the upper board, while the lower panel of the slipcase itself is rubbed and therefore rated only Very Good.
