Smitherman, P.H. CAVALRY UNIFORMS OF THE BRITISH ARMY (SIGNED)

Large Quarto (370 x 240mm). 8 pages of prelims and 80 pages of half titles, descriptions and compromising 20 full page plates in full colour by the author.


Illustrated and described by P.H. Smitherman. The material ranges from the year 1705 until 1960 and the paintings are particularly detailed and lifelike.


Bound in full scarlet leather, gilt on spine and on front and back boards, and top edges of pages gilt. Housed in a dark grey cloth slip case. Only 250 numbered copies were produced, signed by Smitherman, and this copy is number 32. A fine copy.
