Kench, John; David Goldblatt and Margaret Courtney-Clarke (photographers) Cape Dutch Homesteads

Two famous photographers teamed up with author John Kench to make this book, which was beautifully produced by Struik, with much of the credit going to designer Walter Votteler and typographer Wim Reinders.

The houses featured - more than half of them also leading wine estates - are Meerlust, Ida's Valley, Ou Muratie, Rustenberg and Schoongezicht, Uitkuik, Stellenberg, Stettyn, Westoe and Vergelegen, while there is also a chapter on restoration.

Laminated dustjacket with colour illustrations back and front, brown cloth-boards, gilt to upper panel and spine, illustrated endpapers, 144 pp of profusely colour-illustrated text on art paper.

The copy is complete, unmarked and fine - marred only by slight damage to the lamination at the head.
