A BREATH FROM THE VELDT
236 pages, frontispiece, title page vignette and 12 plates, numerous text illustrations, pictorial cream buckram, top edge gilt, light foxing on the endpapers, a very good copy in the original publisher's box which is worn along the edges and split at the corners.
Number 345 of an edition limited to 750 copies.
Perhaps the best of the facsimile reprints of Southern African hunting and colour plate books. Produced by 'Books of Rhodesia' and printed in Bulawayo, the publisher took great care to simulate as closely as possible the heavy coated paper on which the original text and the stiff card on which the electro-etchings were printed.
