128pp. hardcover small 4to. book in dw. with extensive photographs of the Royal Family and in particular King George VI during the Second World War. Inscribed by Queen Mary, the Queen Mother on the ffep. and dated 1945. Loosely inserted is a 2pp. single leaf letter on a Marlborough House letterhead from Lady Constance Milnes Gaskell to the inscribee, a Mrs. Glass, thanking her on behalf of the Queen for a gift of perfume and sending her the book with the Queen's best wishes. Lady Gaskell was the "Woman of the Bedchamber" or Lady in Waiting to Queen Mary.
The book is in fine condition. The dw. has a 4x3cm. irregular chip along the top edge of the front panel. But an exellent association copy.
