Original vintage World War Two propaganda poster for the Czech League against Bolshevism - Zachvati Li Te Zahynes! / If You're Caught, You're Going To Die! (which became known to citizens as the We Are Not Afraid We Do Not Live There! poster) - featuring a bold illustration of a red clawed hand marked with the Soviet communist hammer and sickle symbol reaching down over Prague Castle (the seat of Czech government in the historic city of Prague) with the stylised text above and UR mark below. A pro-German Nazi group, the Czech League Against Bolshevism was founded in 1944 to promote anti-Communist and anti-Soviet propaganda; the group dissolved in 1945 as a result of the WWII Prague Uprising that led to the liberation of Prague from German occupation. Large size. Good condition, restored folds, some foxing and staining, backed on linen. Country of issue: Czechoslovakia, designer: Antonin Hradsky, size (cm): 122x87, year of printing: 1940s.
