Get ready for active work and the defense of the Motherland! - featuring a school science image of a boy wearing a red Pioneer scarf working on a plane model and a girl working on the mechanism of a space rocket against dark background with the colourful bold text above and in red lettering below. The Young Pioneers (Vladimir Lenin All-Union Pioneer Organisation; 1922-1991) was a Soviet youth organisation similar to the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides groups for children aged 9-15 years old; the uniform included a distinctive red neckerchief on a white shirt and their motto was to be prepared: Always Prepared / ?????? ?????! ?????? (Dosaaf; the Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation and Fleet) was founded in 1927 for the development of paramilitary sports as a preparation for reserve armed forces. Very good condition, minor tear, creasing, minor paper loss in bottom right corner. Country of issue: USSR, designer: A.S. Sysoev, size (cm): 58.5x30, year of printing: 1976.
