Original vintage World War Two poster: "Stagger Your Holidays – It’s finer remember in June and September" issued as part of the Home Front effort to spread out the consumption of resources during the war. Great artwork showing two views of the same seaside resort with the image at the top depicting the place in July and August as being overcrowded with tourists swimming and sunbathing on a busy sandy beach and promenade with some holiday makers walking down towards the image below depicting the beach as being much quieter and less crowded during June and September with a bright sun shining overhead, the text in stylised black and red letters. Printed for H.M. Stationery Office by Elm Press (N.R.P. Co. Ltd.), London, W.C.1. 51-2186. Wt. 51651/P.6540. Good condition, staining, restored folds, backed on linen. Country of issue: UK, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 102.5x63, year of printing: 1940s.
