Original vintage advertising poster by Shell to market its Anti-Freeze and Mutigrade X-100. Fun design featuring a warmly dressed smiling person holding up a can of anti-freeze and X-100 multigrade with the Shell logo on the side in yellow and red and the text above in French reading securite totale / total security. Shell was formed in 1907 through the amalgamation of the Royal Dutch Petroleum Company of the Netherlands and the "Shell" Transport and Trading Company of the United Kingdom. Shell Multigrade was the result of a technical break-through where the discovery of a combination of non-metallic. additives providing all the properties required in a Multigrade Oil but without the disadvantage of metallic ash being left in the combustion chamber. Good condition, folds, creasing, staining, ink stamp and paper stamp in bottom right corner, pencil in top right corner. Country of issue: Belgium, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 38x69, year of printing: 1950s.
