London
Original vintage propaganda handbill poster issued by the British Union Of Fascists. Germany’s Peace Terms - The following are the terms secured by the Marquess of Tavistock upon which the German Government are prepared at once to declare and Armistice and open Peace negotiations. Germany wants peace. To have peace she is prepared (a) To give a reconstituted Slovakian State its full freedom, provided it remains neutral. Germany feels that the old Czecho-Slovakia was used by Britain and France as a threat against her. (b) To give a reconstituted Poland full independence, allowing her, as promised before, an outlet to the sea and communications in the form of a railway line, and also the use of the Vistula. (c) Germany may arrange a plebiscite in Austria, but she regards her relations with Austria as a matter for the decision of herself and Austria alone, and is not prepared to agree to international interference. (d) Germany is prepared to disarm, provided that all Powers interested in an international disarmament pact are prepared to do likewise. (e) Germany is prepared to become a party to a League of Nations, provided that the League will give assurances that all grievances will be dealt with fairly and not set on one side by the action of dominant Powers such as Britain and France. If these points are agreed to, Germany is prepared to submit the details of the action which should be taken to the ruling of an international court. - with points from German Government Memorandum in reply to questions from the Marquess of Tavistock. Printed by J.E. Flatman, published by the British Council for Christian Settlement in Europe. Very good condition, minor staining. Country of issue: UK, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 24x18, year of printing: 1930s.
