Original vintage WWII propaganda poster published by the French Government for the collect of copper and other non-ferrous metals during World War Two. It states that without copper, without lead, without nickel and without tin, the French industry is deprived of irreplaceable raw materials and the French agriculture is defenseless against diseases: "France has no other copper than the one you have in your home". Great design by French artist René Letourneur (1898-1990), best known as a art deco sculptor, showing vineyards in the foreground, a train and electrical posts in the background, all in coppery tones. The text in French reads: Sans cuivre, sans plomb, sans nickel, sans etain, Notre Industrie est privee de matieres premieres irremplacables, Notre Agriculture est sans defense contre les maladies - La France ne possede aujourd'hui d'autre cuivre que celui que vous avez chez vous - Apportez votre cuivre et vos metaux non ferreux aux centres de perceptions de l'impot metal. Printed in France by G. Ballon, Paris. Fair condition, folded as issued, small paper loss and tears in margins, foxing and staining.
