Original vintage French propaganda poster published by the United Front in Support of South Vietnam to denounce the Communist attacks: Halte a l’agression communiste au Viet-nam - Front-uni de soutien au Sud Viet-nam. Dynamic cartoon style illustration showing a Chinese communist with stars on his shoulder attacking a map of Vietnam with a sickle and hammer dripping with blood, the text above and below in red and black letters. The Front Uni de Soutien au Sud-Viet-Nam was founded in 1968 by the politician and former vice president of the FN National Front in France, Roger Holeindre (b 1929), and supported by the far-right French militant group Occident (1964-1968). The 1955-1975 Vietnam War took place during the Cold War era (1947-1991) between North Vietnam (supported by the Soviet Union and China and other communist allies), and South Vietnam (supported by the United States and other anti-communist allies), leading to the country's reunification to form the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Printed in France by Imprimerie Speciale, Paris. Very good condition, folds and light creases. Year of printing: 1960s, country of printing: France, designer: Unknown, dimensions (cm): 39.5x30.
