Great artwork by the notable British painter and illustrator, Frank Wootton (1911-1998), of a man rowing in a boat surrounded by trees and mountains, reflected on the calm water, a plane and birds flying past. British Overseas Airways Corporation in association with Qantas Empire Airways Limited, South African Airways, Tasman Empire Airways Limited. (The British Overseas Airways Corporation / BOAC was the British state airline created in 1940-1946 as the result of a merger, introducing the world's first passenger jets to its service in 1952 and merging again in 1971-1974 to create British Airways / BA.)
