A Chinese hardwood brush pot, bitong, of typical cylindrical form, probably Huanghuali, finely carved in high relief with lingzhi sprays amongst the three friends of winter -  pine, bamboo and plum, 12cm high 

Provenance: Gifted by a Chinese gentleman in Tiensen, 'the only treasure he took from Ashton Manor treasures' circa 1960
A Chinese hardwood brush pot, bitong, of typical cylindrical form, probably Huanghuali, finely carved in high relief with lingzhi sprays amongst the three friends of winter -  pine, bamboo and plum, 12cm high
