An early Victorian butter dish and stand, the shaped circular embossed stand with scroll borders and embossed 'C' scroll cartouche engraved flower heads and lattice work, cut glass circular dish with fluted domed circular cover with flower and leaf mount, stand and cover marked for London 1841, maker's mark of Charles Thomas Fox and George Fox, the base 7.75in. (19.5cm), 13.5oz. (the cut glass dish possibly of later date). See lot 1662 for illustration.
