CARL ZEISS, JENA A CASED PAIR OF PROVENANCED RUBBER-ARMOURED 7x50 GERMAN WORLD WAR TWO KRIEGSMARINE BINOCULARS, serial no. 52777, formerly the property of U-Boat Captain Hans-Joachim Dierks, the binoculars circa 1938 with refinished Kriegsmarine green-grey stipple-finish barrels, rubber armoured objective lenses and prism housings the right armour concealing the Carl Zeiss wartime code, serial number and magnification, each eye-piece apparently fixed focus, rubber eye-guards and complete with neck-strap and bakelite rain-guard, together with a matching black leather case for same marked 'beh' (Ernst Leitz), large Kriegsmarine eagle to top of lid, provision for filters in lid (absent), weight of binoculars approx. 4lbs..
WWII Second World War - two items of original WW2 German Third Reich Nazi Army related items, comprising of a battle damaged field binoculars 'Dienstglas 7x50 ' (likely by Leitz or similar), in their original camouflage colourscheme, along with an original PASSIERSCHEIN - SAFE CONDUCT surrender pass from President Dwight D. Eisenhower.
A pair of Leitz Trinovid binoculars, 7x42BA, 140M/1000M, No 866193, cased. (AF) On initial inspection the optics appear good, clear and clean when viewing, however one large lens has a vertical streak (water ingress?) visible from the outside. The eyepiece rubbers are flush with the lens. There is some very minor scuffing to the paint work, and one of the side neck strap securing lugs has been sheared off.
