BROADHURST CLARKSON & CO; an early 20th century leather bound brass four-drawer telescope with sun shade and eyepiece cover, stamped to the second section with the maker's details 87cm.Condition Report: Objective lens has patches of de-lamination, leather binding has scuffs and scrapes, marks to the tubes from being used with a couple of minor dents, otherwise appears to be in good condition, showing good clear image.
Two 19th century brass and leather cased extendable hand telescopes. Thee lot comprising a smart early 19th century example by Dollond London, engraved with maker's name and adjusted by Broadhurst Clarkson & Co., along with an unmarked example with leather case and lens cover, with label to leather 'Given to me by Norman Fisher who was given it by Lady Elton in 1947, it had been at Clevedon Court longer than anyone could remember'. Largest to measure approx. 47cm unextended.
