Philip Anthony Walters (b1955), three oil paintings, semi-abstract scenes with symbols and lettering, one reading 'DIAMOND', another reading 'FIELD OF DREAMS', 40cm x 30cm and 50.5cm x 40.5cm, two signed 'PAW' to lower left. Philip Walters was born in Fleetwood Lancs on 20th May 1955 to Heather and Bill Walters. Bill was a trawlwerman and unfortunately passed away at sea in 1967 when Phil was 12. He was always a free spirit and never liked being told what to do which has got him into a few scrapes over the years but he has a heart of gold and would give his last penny to help anyone in need.He started his working life as a centre lathe turner but had to leave after developing dermatitis. Subsequently he sold advertising space in local magazines and publicising events such as the Fylde Folk Festival. He also eked out a living collecting and selling scrap metal, digging worms on the beach for fishermen and fishing himself. His passion for painting has never dwindled and his heart and soul have gone into every brushstroke so each one deserves to find a loving home. The picture above is Phil(centre) in his vergers robes at St Peter’s church in Fleetwood where he has been the most happy. His faith has been paramount in helping him deal with his recent diagnosis of terminal illness and his wonderful cheery character is still strong.

Buyers must make their own judgment as to the nature, authenticity and condition of any lot. The auctioneers do not give any warranty as to the title of the lots sold and will not be responsible for any defect in such title.
