This photograph belongs to the Circus series, consisting of twenty works in total dedicated to the artistic nude. These are colour photographs printed directly on 10mm PVC with a high gloss finish. Taken in the studio with Hasselblad digital equipment and Profoto lighting. All the photographs have been taken with professional models. Circus takes the female artistic nude as a common thread, with a fantasy aesthetic. The author seeks to create a dialogue between the work and the spectator, where the emotions hidden in the performances of the multiple characters that make up the Circus can be discovered. It is a mainly scenic work that takes care not only of the visual aspect in terms of composition, framing, props and lighting at the moment of shooting, but also of the processing, developing and post-production of each photograph, creating a homogeneity between all the images that make up the project. In this way he proposes to draw the viewer's attention through the always polemical nude, to introduce him to the analysis of the work by obviating the very nude that attracted him and to make him discover a totally renewed concept before his eyes. Being the son of photographers, Fidel Comas has always been linked to and influenced by photography, learning in the studio and practising from a very young age in social reportage. He soon became interested in art, painting and sculpture in the first place, an interest that led him to study art at the José Nogué School of Art in Jaén. During his time as a student he was selected to create the Official Poster for the Royal Fair (1999) in his home town of Alcaudete. After completing his studies he definitively joined the family business where he has been working until the present day. With an ever-present interest in art, he became interested in artistic photography, an activity that he developed in his scarce free time, finding in artistic nude photography the form of expression that most motivated and interested him.
