Borja Barrajón Acedo began his training as a sculptor at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Madrid in 2006. During his first years he acquires the technical knowledge required to work with this material, either through his teachers, his participation in symposiums or through the personal experience that the work itself gives him in the realization of each sculpture, reaching a great mastery over the material and whose result we can see reflected in his most current work.despite his youth, he begins to stand out with his first works in national competitions and contests. He was twice awarded the first prize for sculpture Manuel Martínez Bragagnolo in 2009 and 2011. Acquisition prize from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2011. Honourable mention for his work Difracción by the Royal Academy Santa Isabel de Hungría in Seville in 2012 and first prize in the young artists' circuit in 2013. He has been selected and participates in various calls for entries and group exhibitions, including: 78 Salón de otoño de Madrid 2011, XVII Bienal Jacinto Higueras 2012, Certamen de jóvenes creadores 2012 and Casadecor 2015 and 2017.
He has participated in several exhibitions, including Galería Espacio Primavera 9. "Exposición ARCO en primavera", Madrid, 2020. Affordable Art Fair. London Hampstead, London, 2019, Start'19. Sculpture network. Espiral Gallery, Cantabria, 2019. His solo exhibitions also include; Cafmeyer Gallery. Belgium, 2019. David Bardía Art Gallery. "The identity of form", Madrid, 2017. Hesperia Hotel. David Bardía Art Gallery Madrid, 2015. David Bardía Art Gallery. "His works are divided in important private collections and centres of artistic relevance such as the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Obispo del Vellosillo, Ayllón (Segovia), the Facultad de Bellas Artes. Complutense University (Madrid), the Majadahonda Town Hall (Madrid), the Marques de Valdecilla Museum (Cantabria) and the Capital Art Magazine Collection (Madrid). Currently, Barrajón works and develops his work in his studio located in the outskirts of Madrid.
