EDWARD VII: (1841-1910) King of the United Kingdom 1901-10. Vintage signed cabinet photograph, the sepia image depicting the King in head and shoulders pose (the image having been re-touched with brown ink). Signed ('Albert Edward') in fountain pen ink to a light area to the foot of the image, and dated 14th August 1882 in the Kings hand. Together with ALEXANDRA OF DENMARK (1844-1925) Queen of the United Kingdom 1901-10, consort of King Edward VII. Vintage signed cabinet photograph by Hansen & Weller, Copenhagen, the sepia image depicting the Queen in full length pose leaning on a parlour chair. Signed ('Alexandra') in bold black fountain pen ink to a clear area at foot of the image. With signs of former mounting to the verso of both images. G, £100-150 Both images are annotated to the verso with an inscription stating they were originally in the possession of Capt. Alfred Balliston, the commander of HMY's 'Elfin' and 'Alberta'.
