Historically Important Documents Sent by Adolf Hitler to Spanish General and Commander of the Spanish Blue Division, General Augustin Munoz Grandes with Handwritten Corrections by Adolf Hitler, with First Possible Indication that Germany May Loose the War, Just Days Before the German Army Retreated from Moscow in January 1942, the telegrams and officially presented copies for Adolf Hitler to approve, were sent in thanks to a telegram of good wishes for the new year in 1942 sent by the Spanish commander of the Blue Division, General Grandes. One of the typed presented forms has an official correction / alteration made in the hand of Adolf Hitler, he changed the wording to “Trotz allem auch” which translates in English to “come what may”, which could be an indication of his thoughts that possibly Germany could loose the war because of the defeat of his army in the East and the eventual retreat from Moscow a few days after this dated document. Four documents in total all generally good condition except for punch holes to the edges and some staple marks to the top left hand corner where they were originally all stapled together. Comes with full English translation. Original documents with hand written notes by Adolf Hitler are extremely rare to find and seldom come onto the collecting market. These documents are all dated 2nd January 1942, which was just days before the German armed forces were officially defeated in the Battle for Moscow on the 7th January, which resulted in the start of the German retreat from the east, which many historians believe was the start of the end of the Third Reich which would result in the official defeat and end of WW2 in 1945. Agustín Muñoz Grandes (27 January 1896 – 11 July 1970) was a Spanish general, and politician, vice-president of the Spanish Government and minister with Franco several times; also known as the commander of the Blue Division between 1941 and 1942. He was also the holder of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with Oakleaves.
