A good George III silver Neo Classical wine jug / ewer Thomas Heming, London 1773 The body of ovoid form with foliate swags draped oval classical oval medallions, the wide waisted fluted neck with undulating bead rim, hinged domed cover with stylised artichoke finial, raffia covered upright loop handle, on a pedestal foot with acanthus band on a base with incurved sides and Greek Key band, height 30cm, weight total 25.2oz. An appointment which he held until 1782.
