A Victorian silver covered soup tureen with liner John Samuel Hunt, London 1864, underside of the base also stamped HUNT & ROSKELL LATE STORR & MORTIMER, pattern number 3003 Plain circular bellied sides applied either side with lion mask and ring drop handles, the evert rim with applied bead band and a band of anthemions and darts, on a spreading circular foot with corresponding banded decoration, removable liner with two loop handles to the rim, the shaped-dome cover with stylised pineapple finial and engraved crest a spur rowel azure, height 29cm, weight 118oz.
