Original vintage car advertising poster for Volkswagen Beetle - 33 years later, he got the bug - featuring a great design depicting a smiling man wearing a suit standing between a red VW Beetle and a green 1929 Model A Ford next to a blue wood panelled country house with the VW logo and story below of the 78 year old Justice of the Peace, Albert Gillis, who did his own repairs and didn't need a new car for 33 years until last year when he bought a Beetle, mentioning also that he and Mrs Gillis took a 6,750 mile trip for their 54th anniversary. The German automobile maker, Volkswagen ("people's car") was founded in 1937; the company's Type 1 two-door models were first manufactured in 1938, achieving a peak growth in sales and popularity during the 1960s hippie era. Good condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, minor light stain, backed on linen. Country of issue: USA, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 102x78, year of printing: 1963.
