Original vintage travel poster promoting air travel with BOAC - The text in white, black and blue placed in a heart shaped balloon reads - You too will love the BOAC VC10. - Design features a photograph depicting a romantic moment between a couple seated in airplane seats with a drink in a glass between them - man smiling and feeding a red cherry to the lady while both holding hands. VC10 Vickers is a narrow-body midsized four engine British airliner designed and built by Vickers-Armstrongs Aircraft Ltd between 1962 and 1970, and introduced by BOAC in 1964. In total 54 VC10 aircrafts were built. Despite the small number, they served BOAC and other airlines from the 1960s to 1981, and were praised highly by both the crew and travellers for their comfort and lower noise levels. The British Overseas Airways Corporation / BOAC was the British state airline created in 1940-1946 as the result of a merger, introducing the world's first passenger jets to its service in 1952 and merging again in 1971-1974 to create British Airways / BA. We use Royal Mail special delivery with insurance for postage in the UK and signed and tracked service where available with a maximum insurance of £250 for international shipments. Over-sized posters (over 80cm) are shipped by UPS.
We aim to dispatch items within 1-3 working days, delivery to UK addresses usually takes 2-3 working days. Delivery to international addresses varies depending on destination and usually takes 7-10 working days.
