Original vintage German movie poster for the re-release of 1955 American comedy film The Seven Year Itch (Das Verflixte 7. Jahr) directed by Billy Wilder and starring Marylin Monroe and Tom Ewell. This poster was published in Germany for the re-release of the film in Cinemascope in 1974. It features a great artwork showing Marylin Monoroe in a little black night dress and black stockings set against a silver background, with the text printed on the right side in red and blue bold letters. The Seven Year Itch is a 1955 American romantic comedy film based on a three-act play with the same name by George Axelrod. His most successful and arguably most identifiable role was that of Richard Sherman in The Seven Year Itch, a role that he originated in the Broadway stage production (1952–1954) and reprised in the 1955 Hollywood film adaptation. He received a Tony Award for the play and a Golden Globe Award for the film.
