Heuer Super Autavia: a steel cased manual-wind dash-board chronograph, circa1959-1967, the black arabic dial with luminous numerals and outer bezel, with two subsidiary chronograph dials, fitted a crown wound seventeen-jewel movement signed Ed' Heuer & Co, SA, also signed on the back plate and stamped '70050' to left of winder, bezel 55mm wide, (missing mounting plate).Note: The interesting features of this timer include the 'Time of Day (Clock)' as you would read it on a standard clock, with white hands that glow in the dark for hours and minutes, and a seconds register located at the 6 o'clock position on the face, known by Heuer as the "White System", pulling the crown out allows for proper time adjustment as with most time pieces, re-positioning crown starts the newly set movement, the stopwatch feature is known as the "Red System", the hours and half hours are read by the red hour hand against the red numbers and indicating hash marks on the turning bezel; the small minute dial located at the 12 o'clock position on the face; and seconds (accurate to 1/5 seconds) are read by the red centre second hand.
