Textiles. A vintage mid century circa 1940s - 1950s handmade patchwork eiderdown quilt, possibly Welsh. The hand stitched quilt featuring gardening motifs, such as flowers, a gardening can, butterflies, sunflowers and a house. Sewn from fabric dress pieces. With blue border, the whole throw backed in light purple fabric; in very good & clean condition. Measures approx. 195cm x 173cm.

A mid 20th Century American Mid West double layer handmade patchwork quilt in a geometric square design with embroidered stitch outline of a large flower to the yellow squares, in pastel colours having a scalloped edge to all sides, 183cm x 210cm together with a 1970's handmade child's small double-sided 97cm x 140cm quilt. Provenance-The original owner resided in Kansas. Location:BWRCondition: large quilt-areas of expected fading to corners, some stains to lining, small quilt-various faint stains-see additional photos

An antique hand stitched hexagonal honeycomb pattern patchwork quilt. +/- 260 cm x 210 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This lot is not backed. Other than being dirty and discoloured in places the cover is really in fairly good order. There are some minor frayed edges to the edge octagons and numerous sections of protruding threads around the extremities. There do not appear to be any perforations or any moth damage and there are no tears. Each hexagon is approximately 2.8 cm in diameter.

A Paisley patterned quilt on cream background, double sided. 210 cm x 220 cm.

Two matching green satin effect bedspreads, and a green and yellow quilt (some fading). CONDITION REPORT: The quilts are all faded on both sides. We can see no other damage.

A Victorian patchwork quilt front, late 19th century, the hexagonal, square and rectangular patches surrounding panels with appliqued hearts and stylised flowers, approximately 245cm x 260cm (at fault)CONDITION REPORT: The quilt shows signs of damage commensurate with age and use, including holes, rips and stains (please see photos). Approximately twenty panels are damaged. Most panels are 9cm x 7.5cm, yet there is some panels that are larger, varying in sizes.

A silk patchwork quilt, circa 1870, hexagon and star quilt, composed of plain and patterned fabric, hexagons approximately 4 cm diameter, 8-lozenge stars 18 cm diameter, border of lozenge pairs arranged in a chevron pattern, some fabrics perished, backed with sprigged cotton in pink, blue, and green, on a cream ground, stain to one edge, edged with black and yellow twisted cord, 208.5 x 186 cm (82 x 73 ins), together with 10 portions of unfinished patchwork, silk or velvet, mostly log cabin and crazy pattern, 77 x 47 cm (30.25 x 18.5 ins) and smaller, and 16 unused squares of pineapple quilting, each aproximately 22 x 22 cm (8.5 x 8.5 ins), 12 on a background of black satin, and 4 on creamQTY: (27)
