ALLEN WALKER; a fine 18th century 18ct yellow gold triple case verge pocket watch, the outer shagreen case with gilt metal stud decoration enclosing a stunning repoussé second case with decoration in the style of George Michael Moser, the watch with white enamel dial set with Roman numerals, Arabic minute markers, pierced hands, bull's eye domed glass and with movement signed and no.919, with pierced and engraved masked cock set with a bearded profile of a gentleman beneath wings and an urn of flowers, silver regulator disc and with square baluster pillars, the case hallmarked for London 1786 and with matching serial no.919, dial diameter 3.5cm, outer case diameter 5.3cm.Additional InformationThe white enamel dial has an area of damage around three o'clock. This is a slither of repair to the rim approx 11mm x 2mm slightly obscuring the 15 minute marker. There is also a fine crack just inside this area indicating this could have been a slither chip. There are two very fine small hairline cracks around the 7 marker. Other light surface scratches to the dial. The movement ticks when wound. Some light scratches to the inner case, the repoussé decorated case has three minute pinholes to the decoration on the raised points. The shagreen case has some tiny areas of damage commensurate with age. It is missing four of the applied gilt metal dots near where the spring is and the outer case contains remnants of watch papers and silk.

A mahogany side cabinet, by August Ungethum, Vienna, the bronze panel by Georg Klimt (1867-1931), signed, the upper part of stepped form, the central cupboard door inset with a bronze portriat bust in profile of a man, enclosing adjustable shelves, flanked with glazed cupboards, with bevelled glass panels, the lower part centred with three drawers and flanked with cupboards, one key stamped 'A. Ungethum, Wein V', 182cm wide 50cm deep 207cm high Georg Klimt (1867-1931) was the brother of the painter, Gustav Klimt, and is best known for producing works of others, rather than his own designs. Having studied sculpture and carving, he undertook a variety of commissions, most notably Oldbich's bronze doors for the Secession building in 1899. The firm of August Ungethum was one of the most prominent in Vienna in the early 1900s. Many prominent designers, including Hoffmann and Moser, commissioned them to produce their work and the Wiener Werkstätte were later to become heavily involved with the firm.
