Large Teco planter with matte green glaze. Rests on four feet. Planter is Teco style 157, designed by William D. Gates. ca. 1906.Height: 16 in x diameter: 21 in.Condition:There are no major cracks, losses, or restorations. Along the interior there are numerous minute chips throughout. There are a few areas of mineral deposits throughout the interior. Along the exterior there are numerous chips to the glaze, several scuffs, and scratches. There is wear to the shoulder. Wear to the feet consistent with age and use. There is a hole drilled through the bottom of the planter, possibly original to the production.

The Canadian National Railways' Colonization Department (1919-1963; a sub-section of the Department of Citizenship and Immigration) helped new settlers to Canada, meeting them on arrival and securing farm employment for them; the CNR was formed in 1919 and grew to create an extensive railway system that encouraged the population of uninhabited areas, increased its passenger and freight traffic and connected the country's forestry, fishing, mineral and agricultural resources. Nu-Cast ‘00’ gauge - two kit built steam locomotives comprising NER/ LNER/BR Class Y8 0-4-0T no.8091 in LNER black; LNER Class Y5 (GER 209)/Nielson 12” Mineral 0-4-0 “Coffeepot” Saddle Tank in LNER black; both with original boxes (2) Condition Report:Well constructed with some minor damage and loss to paintwork. No.7230 is missing front bumpers. Wheels on no.8091 are coming loose at the front. Models have not been tested. Box is worn from storage. Please see images.

Mineralogy.- Kurr (Johann Gottlob Von) The Mineral Kingdom, 24 lithographed plates, 23 hand-coloured or partly so, one or two heightened with gold or silver, others with gum arabic, captioned tissue-guards, ink-stamp of Royal Society of Edinburgh to pastedown and title lower margin (ink-stamp to pastedown crossed through in pencil with "Sold by auction 1983" beside), a few plates with margins very slightly trimmed, plates offset onto tissue-guards, scattered spotting, heavier to first uncolored plate, occasional light marginal soiling, staining to front free endpaper, original morocco-backed cloth, spine worn with portions of loss, extremities little rubbed, folio, Edinburgh, 1859.

Two pairs of cut and polished geode book ends. Both pairs approximately 12cm in height; together with another cut and polished agate mineral, a small peice of glass slag in vibrant yellow colours and another large glass slag, 15cm in height.A few small chips to the bookends, also one piece has some white resedue to one side, additional images have now been uploaded to our website.
An 18ct gold and diamond cluster ring, 1980, set throughout with brilliant-cut diamonds, London hallmark, total diamond weight approximately 1.15 carats, ring size J. £400-£600 --- Condition Report General light surface wear commensurate with age and use. The diamonds are bright with good scintillation. Typical inclusions observed under 10x magnification. The principal brilliant-cut with a dark mineral inclusion just visible with the unaided eye. The shank has been previously sized. Ring size approximate as band slightly oval. Gross weight 3.7gm.
