A mid-18th century oak corner cupboard - gold colour, the stepped cornice with carved egg and dart and lappet decoration, over a panelled door with carved imitation astragal glazing, on later brass hinges, the interior with two shaped shelves and an iron lock (with key). (LWH 80 x 44.5 x 99 cm)
A small oak cupboard bookcase or miniature dresser - the stepped, ogee moulded cornice over four open shelves, above a pair of arched panelled doors with Art Nouveau style handle, enclosing a single shelf. (LWH 71 x 27 x 157.5 cm)* The board to the top of the cornice is slightly warped to the left hand end. A few small nicks and scuffs to the edges from use. The right hand door has a long shallow chip to the top of the moulded edge. The left hand door is currently detached and it has a damaged top hinge (pin missing) which needs replacing to re-affix.
A good quality painted and pale oak part-glazed kitchen dresser - modern, the flared, cavetto cornice over a central bank of two adjustable open shelves with inset glazed panels, flanked by six-pane glazed doors enclosing two similar shelves, the base with light oak top over five drawers and two cupboard doors, each door enclosing a single adjustable shelf, on shaped bracket feet. (LWH 170 x 49.5 x 209.5 cm)
A good George III mahogany cupboard bookcase of small proportions - the carved dentil cornice over a pair of boxwood-strung, 13-pane astragal glazed doors, enclosing a velvet-lined interior with two adjustable shelves, over a single panelled drawer with later ring brasses, above a pair of conforming panelled doors flanked by muntins with similarly shaped reserves, enclosing a single shelf, on shaped bracket feet. (LWH 96.5 x 21 x 173.5 cm)* Condition: Good colour and condition overall but we believe that the cornice is a later replacement or has been altered. The bookcase and base sections appear to be original to each other. Original glass, later handles. There are losses to the boxwood stringing to the underside of base section top at both front corners. The boxwood stringing from the top of the RH door panel is detached (but present) and the stringing to the left hand door is lifting in the same place. The doors have a gap between them, probably due to the shrinkage. Small veneer chips to left foot. The joints near the front corner of both sides on the base section are separating slightly due to shrinkage.
A 19th century carved oak mirror - the flared moulded cornice over a guilloche carved frieze and arched plate beneath, with carved spandrels with fawns and curled paper scrolls, flanked by moulded pilasters, above a carved apron with a pair of griffins flanking a central cartouche, some losses to carving, 78.5 x 66 cm.

William Varley of Huddersfield (Yorks)- Mid-18th century 30hr oak longcase clock, hood with a flat top and deep ogee cornice, wavy back-splats and detached pilasters with brass capitals, long trunk with a conforming flat topped door, square plinth raised on padded feet, brass dial with cast spandrels and engraved dial centre, Axe moon and calendar dial, chapter with Roman numerals, five minute Arabic's and matching steel hands, dial pinned to a chain driven countwheel striking movement, striking the hours on a cast bell. No weights or pendulum. William Varley (I) and (2) were 18th century father and son clockmakers working in Huddersfield (Yorks). As with this clock, William Varley (I) frequently signed his clocks with no place name.
