Frank Usher, vintage 1970s, full-length black evening dress with elaborate bugle bead neckline and trimming; size 36, black acetate sheath dress with fitted bodice, centre back zip, full-length skirt and centre back split, black sheer polyester over-layer with wide sleeves and cowl section down the back, trimmed along all the edges with silver bugle beads, neckline, front and back, decorated with bugle beads in graduated shades of grey and silver, original maker’s label and care labels. Condition of dress overall very good, no visible damage to fabric, some loose threads and two small sections of beading missing to sleeves edges.

1 Large size wood bead bordered pierced brass button.There are only a handful of buttons known that were created utilizing this unusual construction. The moveable carved wood beads on the border are attached together by a brass wire going through the beads around the edge o the button and set in a channel.
