Bonhams’ Eighties sale, which takes place in Paris on September 21 features this Gaultier Junior dress. Gaultier Junior was a line of lower value items that the house launched in that decade. This denim corset dress has an estimate of €300-500.

It was a pleasant neutral and highly Instagrammable. Despite whispers that it might be replaced by a wave of “Gen Z Yellows” and purples, some of the ‘alternative’ shades that are popping up to replace it are remarkably similar (peach, apricot and terracotta).

Meanwhile, two of the major promotors of pink have recently released new films. Wes Anderson, whose shade of Millenial Pink in Grand Budapest Hotel is really the closest anyone can get to defining the hue, released Asteroid City. Shortly after, Barbie, the queen of pink since the 1960s, made her big screen premier.

In the world of fashion, hot pink has been at the fore, while last year Pacific Pink, a more vintage-inspired tone, gained traction.

Whatever your shade of choice, we’ve rounded up some appealing pink items to adorn either you or your home. From looking at some of the items below it’s clear that pink is not just the colour of now but has been a well-loved shade for many years.
