Now you have the chance to buy an object from this famous hotel. More than 5000 items are being auctioned this month by Pro Auction in London and you can bid and buy online for items such as lamps and chairs to beds and artworks.
Here is a handful of items that feature in the March 23-25 sale of The Westbury Hotel Mayfair Entire Contents of Iconic 5 Star Hotel.
1. Statement mirror
This Villiers Bros mirror is 3.5ft (110cm) across (above) and was previously in the lobby of the hotel. It has an estimate of £80.
2. Ice buckets
This pair of silver-plated ice buckets with matching stand were in the restaurant of the hotel and are estimated at £50.
3. Arm chairs
A pair of blue velvet chairs by Fox Linton from the well-known The Polo Bar in the hotel. The pair of chairs are estimated at £80.
4. Newspaper stand
This mahogany broadsheet newspaper stand can hold six large newspapers and was in the Westbury Hotel lobby. It is estimated at £25.
5. Brass trolley
What says hotel-feel more than a concierge cart and this brass birdcage trolley is estimated at £180.
