Owned and run by Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, Paolo Moschino Ltd is an award-winning design studio specialising in residential, commercial, and hospitality interiors projects around the world.
A two-seater canapé, by Maison Jansen, c.1940, French, upholstered in Paolo Moschino 'Beijing Blossom' fabric, raised on tapering painted and spiral-turned supports, is estimated at £2000-3000. Starting out as a business partner to his good friend and fellow interior designer, Nicholas Haslam, in the 1990s, Moschino’s keen interest in antiques was evident from the early days.
Sourcing pieces from around the world, this ‘well-travelled’ aesthetic, mixing antiques and art in a fresh and modern way has become his modus operandi.
Essex auction house Sworders is offering 22 pieces from Moschino’s Antiques & Vintage collection in its upcoming Fine Interiors sale, to be held on June 14-15, available for in-room and online bidding.
