If you want to say yes to buying a classic James bond Dr No poster but worry about the price then fear not – different versions in a single sale offer a range of options.

UK Quad poster for Dr No 1962 estimated at £8000-10,000 at the Prop Store auction on November 5.

Take the cinema poster live auction at Prop Store, Rickmansworth, on November 5. If your pockets are on the deep side, try a UK Quad poster for the debut Sean Connery 007 film by Mitchell Hooks. Dating from 1962, catalogued as ‘unrestored, looks to have been unused and is in virtually perfect condition’, the 2ft 6in x 3ft 4in (76cm x 1.02m) poster is estimated at £8000-10,000.

German A0 poster for Dr No 1962 estimated at £1000-1500 at the Prop Store auction on November 5.

Coming in at a guide of £1000-1500 is a German A0 poster also from 1962 described by the auction house as a ‘scarce West German poster for the debut release of Dr No and in original unfolded condition’. Designed by Atelier Degen, this version measures 2ft 9in x 4ft 3in (84 x 1.18m).

This UK Quad double-bill poster promoting both Dr No and Thunderball in a double bill from 1972 is estimated at £300-500 at the Prop Store auction on November 5.

However, providing a very desirable but lower-estimate option is a 1972 re-release UK Quad double-bill poster promoting both Dr No and Thunderball which came out in 1965. The poster design plays on the ‘Double’ impact and reprises the poster illustration from the two original Quads too (artists Mitchell Hooks and Robert McGinnis). Measuring 2ft 6in x 3ft 4in (76cm x 1.02m), the estimate is £300-500.
