Moorcroft Pomegranate coupe

This William Moorcroft twin-handled ‘Pomegranate’ coupe, from c.1914/15, features in the Halls sale. The sale at Halls offers 213 lots and is open for bidding right now. It closes at 4pm on April 4.

The sale includes both early examples of the factory’s output but also more recent creations, and covers various price points.

1. Revived Cornflower vase

An unusually large William Moorcroft ‘Revived Cornflower’ vase, dated 1914, is among the lots on offer at Halls’ dedicated auction. The oviform and tube lined vase with scrolling blooms in red and ochre on a mottled green ground, is impressed 'Moorcroft Burslem England' marks. 2. Rainforest vase

Among the more recently made pieces at the Halls sale is a Moorcroft 'Rainforest' vase designed by Sally Tuffin, dated 1995. 3. Orchid globular vase

This large Walter Moorcroft 'Orchid' globular vase or jardiniere from c.1947 is offered at the Halls sale with a £300-400 estimate. Of inverted baluster form, typically tubelined with the Toadstool mushrooms against a dark green gradient ground, they measure 4in (10.5cm) high.
