Bonhams goes back to nature with latest Decorative Art and Design auction

1. Christopher Dresser tiles

These ceramic tiles (above) by designer Christopher Dresser (1834-1904) for Mintons China Works c.1870 depict birds, reeds and flowers. The tiles are transfer printed and handpainted and are estimated at £600-800.

2. Art Deco seagulls

An Art Deco sculpture of three flying seagulls by Hungarian artist Alexandre Kelety estimated at £1200-1500.

This Art Deco sculpture of three flying seagulls by Hungarian artist Alexandre Kelety (1874-1940) is called 'In Flight'. The 1.9ft (58.5cm) high sculpture was made c.1925 and is patinated parcel silver bronze and estimated at £1200-1500.

3. Rock Crystal vase

A 12.6in (32cm) high continental 'Rock Crystal' gilt-bronze mounted glass vase c.1880 is estimated at £1000-1500.

features sea waves, insects, birds in flight and a crescent moon while the bronze mount is cast in relief with rocks, vegetation and a guinea fowl. The 12.6in (32cm) high vase is estimated at £1000-1500.

4. Turtledove paperweight

A turtledove paperweight by René Lalique estimated at £1000-1500.

This pre-War 'Deux Tourterelles' turtledove paperweight is in smokey grey glass and made by René Lalique (1860-1945). The design was introduced in 1925 and on this model it is etched 'R.LALIQUE FRANCE'. The 4.6in (11.8cm) high sculpture is estimated at £1000-1500.

5. Silver leaf dish

A silver leaf dish by Gianmaria Buccellati (1929-2005) is estimated at £700-900.

The birds and the bees love plants and this silver dish depicts a leaf with all its veins. The c.1970s pressed form dish is 11in (28cm) long and stamped 'Gianmaria Buccellati' and '925'. It is estimated at £700-900.
