A job application by Steve Jobs23 February 2021 Coming up at auction is a job application hand-written by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs in 1973.
Certified as authentic
Accompanied by certificates of authenticity, this is a unique piece of tech memorabilia. On the application, Jobs - who would have been 18 at the time - lists 'english lit' as his major, and Reed College as his address.
He states that skills are 'Computer' and 'Calculator', along with 'Design' and 'Tech' and says that he his special abilities include 'Electronics' and digital 'Tech or Design Engineer'.
The role Jobs was applying for and the company he was applying to remain a mystery. The following year he did take up a role at computer games company Atari.
The application was auctioned in 2018 in the US where it fetched around $175,000 (including auction fees). How will it fare this time?
Bidding in this timed auction for Steve Jobs' job application begins at 12pm on February 24. The sale is being held by Charterfields.
