1. Hedge chair
This early 19th century Irish ash and elm 'hedge' chair, made in Co Cavan comes for sale at local auction house Victor Mee in Belturbet today (February 26) with an estimate of €300-400.

2. Cartier brooch
The sale at Stamford Auction Rooms on February 29 includes this Cartier horse-head brooch made in 18ct gold set with sapphire eyes and seed pearls. Signed and numbered 21455 and 114513, it comes in its original Cartier box with hopes of £2000-4000.

3. Lalique glass medallion
This 4in (10cm) René Lalique frosted glass portrait medallion was created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Louis Pasteur’s birth in 1922.
Lalique also produced a smaller commemorative pendant with the same profile of the French microbiologist and chemist.
It comes in a fitted box with an estimate of £200-300 at Tennants’ 20th Century Design sale on February 29.

4. Hermes men’s vanity case
This Hermes men’s vanity case, probably from the 1960s, carries a £1500-2000 estimate at the sale of Designer Handbags and Fashion at Chiswick Auctions on February 26.
The brown leather case opens to reveal a second lift-out case, fitted with brushes, silver-plated boxes, a leather backed mirror, and a macassar mounted vanity set.

5. Christopher Dresser Linthorpe dish
A Linthorpe dish by Christopher Dresser carries an estimate of £400-600 at Paul Beighton in Thurcroft, Rotherham, on March 2.
Impressed Linthorpe 293, the model copies an original Fijian libation dish in the collection at the British Museum.
