A good pair of George III Irish silver candlesticks, by John Craig, Dublin 1775, square baluster stems, with swags and foliate decoration, the fluted capitals with swags and foliate decoration, detachable drip pans, on raised shaped circular bases with similar decoration, engraved with a crest, height 30.5cm, approx. weight 64oz. (2) Provenance: purchased from Sotheby`s, London, Fine Silver Sale, 1 November 1990, lot 386. The crest is that of Skeys, O`Mulligan, Mooney, Scanlan, Athy and other families.
