Charles Bianconi (1786-1875) - a British Passport issued to the Italo-Irish entrepreneur.
"Famed for his mail coach business that improved the delivery of passengers and post in 19th century Ireland, the passport issued by Lord John Russell, to "Mr Charles Bianconi (A naturalized British Subject) accompanied by his wife and child going to Belgium with two maidservants", dated 12 May 1860, and bearing Bianconi`s signature. Also with this lot printed illustrated envelopes, unused (5), a certificate of Fr. Franciscus Marinelli in Rome, etc."
