A Charles II silver beaker, maker`s mark probably IN with mullet below in a heart shaped shield, see Jackson`s revised edition, p125, London 1661/2,* of tapering cylindrical form on a moulded foot with a slightly flared rim, engraved with a coat of arms within a ribbon tied plumed mantling, the base engraved with initials of various members of the family as listed below, 12.25 cm high, 9 oz. The date letter D was entered from 28th June 1661 to 27th June 1662. The arms are for Healey impaling Nelthorpe. This beaker has been passed down nine generations to the present owner and the engraved initials and dates on the base of the beaker relate to various descendants of the family. H T V 1662 Thomas Healey and his wife Ursula Nelthorpe, married on 26th February 1660/1 J I C 1761 Jane and John Chatterton M I C 1781 for Mary and John Chatterton M G C 1827 for Mary and George Chatterton JC 1868 for John Chatterton JHC 1897 for John Henry Chatterton
