All Invoices must be paid in full before Items can be collected by your designated shipper. 

 

We will enclose a transport and shipping form with each invoice sent to you. Under most circumstances, you must make all transport and shipping arrangements. However, we can arrange to pack, transport and ship your property if you ask us to and pay the costs of doing so. We recommend that you ask us for an estimate, especially for any large items or items of high value that need professional packing before you bid. We may also suggest other handlers, packers, transporters or experts if you ask us to do so. Important Information

Including first edition works by Jane Austen and Charles Dickens, a bust of Joseph Conrad by Sir Jacob Epstein, a portrait bust of Victor Hugo by Rodin, an impressionist view of Constantinople by Felix Ziem, a view of Naples by William Wyld, Agostino Brunias's Gentleman of the West Indies and an exceptional portrait of a young lady, a free person of colour, by Jean-Baptiste Bonjour c.1850. Three lots from Captain Cook's second voyage round off the topographical works. Catherine Read's portrait of Lady Sarah Lennox; a portrait of Capability Brown in his study; a portrait of Charles II c.1630 amply represent British pictures, as a Florentine painting of Christ the Child and an exceptional portrait of an Italian noblewoman c.1450 highlight the early Italian pictures.
