Measurements: 13.5 cm. length, 18.50 mm. diameter.
The Aurora 85th Anniversary Limited Edition is made of "auroloid", the name given by the brand to its celluloid, in a beautiful marbled red colour, with a button on the crown that repeats the design of the various rings on the barrel, in mother-of-pearl grey and red.The clip is decorated with the number 85 in memory of the anniversary year, and the two rings that reinforce the cap are made of solid silver; on the lower one we can see the name of the brand and on the back the part number; on the barrel we have another solid silver ring that repeats the design of the previous ones, and a window to see the remaining ink in transparent colour; the loading system is by piston.
The nib is 18K. rhodium-plated to match the rest of the appliqués, and is the normal one for this type of piece; the nozzle is also rhodium-plated metal.
The edition consists of 1919 pieces and went on sale in 2004, the year of the 85th anniversary.
This fountain pen features the traditional piston-loading mechanism with the unique Aurora reservoir.
