The Pedestal Auctions

The Pedestal was founded in 2016 and we hold specialist auctions in a number of categories.

Our specialists work with many collectors, dealers, decorators and curators from across the globe and are always aware of the latest market trends having extensive contacts in many fields.

Our furniture team is one of the most experienced in the country and Furniture and Interiors are therefore a particular speciality at The Pedestal, with our auctions including a wide variety of English and Continental furniture from the 16th century through to the early 21st century.  

Expertise in the dispersal of collections has led to The Pedestal’s auctions: The Collection of the late William H. Stokes, a leading dealer and connoisseur of early furniture and Works of Art, and The Collection of the late Patrick Donald, which featured a notable collection of Japanese arms and armour and Works of Art. 

We also offer items from the major design movements of the last 150 years along with unique, decorative pieces including furniture, objects, carpets and rugs, ceramics, lighting, mirrors, silver, paintings and soft furnishings. Auctions at The Pedestal also feature a fine selection of paintings, prints and photographs.
